July 30th 2012

Hey Mom and Dad,
I'm glad to hear that you had a great week in Utah and Idaho! I bet education week would be an amazing experience. Isn't the BYUI campus beautiful?! Oh and yes I did live at Legacy Ridge (the one right across the street from the temple) I had a great view! Too bad I don't know any of the speakers you told me about. I am happy you were able to have the Rexburg experience!
Yeah it is pretty crazy that we travel so far all the time and then have to travel back in the same day. I have gotten used to it now, roadtrips are nothing! Yeah, Varna is a big resort/tourist city. If you were to ever come to Bulgaria, I think you would like Varna. Oh yes and it is very tempting to go to Romania for P-day...but yeah we don't.
The fruit stand lady is still awesome. We are friends with her and her husband. Everyday we walk by them and say hello, and sometimes have a chat.
This week we had two people who we visit that had Birthdays. So we decided to get them flowers and make a card and print off a picture of us to give to them. Oh man they loved it so much!! It is funny here because they are so open with everything. You give them a personalized card and they share it with everyone. They also love it when you print off pictures for them. The both put them in frames...so now we our frames hung up in these ladies homes haha.
Also this week one of our investigators, Plemina needed us to do some service for her. Wwe were really excited because we hardly ever get to do service here. She mentioned something about assembling new furniture. I asked the Elders to come help as well. We got to her house and she told us that she wanted to lay carpet in her bedroom. We all looked at eachother and realized none of us new how to properly lay down carpet. Plus, we don't want to mess up and have her be upset with us! We told her we didn't know and she said it was ok and trusted us with whatever we did! Oh man, some people have this image of us that we can do no wrong. Well, we started measuring the carpet and cutting it to size and then we started glueing it with this glue she told us to use. We ran out of glue so we have to go back this week to finish what we started. I hope that we didn't ruin what she wanted. Other than that Plemina is a very nice woman who is 30. She is interested in what we have to say and has strated reading The Book of Mormon. The only problem is that she is moving to Italy at the end of this week for 6 weeks. She says she will continue reading while she is there and will be ready to discuss more when she gets back, it's sad to see her leave though.
Another thing that happened... Last week we ran into this lady named Ivanka on the street and talked to her about The Book of Mormon and she was so interested. She gave us her address and her home telephone. So a few days later we called her, but the number didn't work. So then we decided to go look for her. We got there but no answer. We we a bit dissapointed because she really did seem interested. Well yesterday, guess who showed up to church?? Yes, Ivanka! We were so happy. She said she wants to continue to keep coming.
Everything else is going well. Thanks for the updates! It's great to hear everything! I love all of you. Have a great week!
Love you,
Jodi...Sister Farnsworth
