You had the missionaries over for dinner?! Oh that makes me happy :) There are actually a few missionaries in my zone that are leaving in a week to the Indianapolis, Indiana mission. There are really cool. I keep telling them that you live there and maybe they can meet you. there names are Elder Maughn, Elder Critchlow, and Sister Bankhead. There are awesome and we have been getting close. It's weird being here and seeing so many people leave especially when you become good friends with them.
This past week we got so many new missionaries on our classroom floor (because the others left on monday) we got 4 new polish (who are in our zone), 5 more czech rep, 3 slovanians, 1 serbian, 5 croatian, and 2 slovaks.(Yeah, I am on the floor with all the small eastern europe countries) It has been pretty cool getting to know them. Atleast with them they will be here the whole time until we leave, so that will be nice. Oh and it makes me happy because quite a few of them are good at basketball. It's always good to have competition at gym time!
Oh yeah, last tuesday for devotional we had Russel M. Nelson come to speak to us! It was so great. It was such a surprise to be sittimg in the devotional room and then all of a sudden on the screen it shows who will be speaking and then there is this a big hush hush sound over the whole audience. He talked to us about the abrahamic covenant, gathering of Israel, and how none of that would have happened without the Book of Mormon. Its so great to sit there and get pumped up knowing that I am going to be a part of the gathering by spreading the gospel.
On sunday we had another great speaker! We had him before on Christmas. His name is Stephen B. Allen. He is great because he gets everyone excited to listen to what he says. Also he helps direct/make the "isn't it about time" LDS clips. So in his fireside he had us watch some from the 80's! Oh my goodness they were hilarious haha it was the best. They all had a cheesy line at the end, but each of them were very true and applied to our lives.
I almost forgot to mention that I was in the choir for christmas and am in the choir again for this coming week. I am trying new things haha.
Let's see class is going well! I am understanding more (atleast i think i am) Except when we learn something new I realize how little I know and how the past few weeks I have been doing so many things wrong haha. It is funny thinking in my head what I am saying in bulgarian and saying it in english.... for example: you like play basketball, yes? or this food good. I sound like a caveman! I don't know how my teahers get threw class with outh cracking up with laughter! However, this past saturday it was our anniversary for being here for 1 month. We took pictures and made "SYL" cards that we attach to our name tags. So when we want to only speak bulgarian to eachother at meal times we put them on so others know we arent being rude.
But things this week are going great! I love being on a mission! I feel the spirit so much here. I am learning so much about myself and the gospel. Oh, and I love hearing from others! It makes my day :)
well gotta go! LOVE YOU!
Love, Jodi
